GR Infraprojects Secured LOA for Rs. 290 Crores Giridih Bypass Project of Jharkhand

Infrastructure major GR Infraprojects Ltd has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the State Highways Authority of Jharkhand for the construction of the Giridih Bypass (towards Tundi), covering a stretch of 26.672 km. The project, valued at Rs. 290.23 crores, will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, with a scheduled completion period of 24 months from the appointed date.

GR Infraprojects Emerged as Lowest Bidder in July

The development follows the company’s emergence as the lowest (L-1) bidder in the tender process held on 24th July 2025, where financial bids were opened by the State Highways Authority of Jharkhand. The contract strengthens GR Infraprojects’ portfolio in eastern India, adding to its growing list of state and national highway projects being executed across multiple regions.

Company’s Market Performance and Presence

On the Bombay Stock Exchange, GR Infraprojects’ stock closed 0.79% higher at Rs. 1246, with a market capitalization of Rs. 12060 crore. Despite a 21.79% rise in the past six months, the stock has shown a 22.23% decline over one year and is down 15.72% in 2025. The company continues to maintain a solid presence in India’s infrastructure sector, executing turnkey contracts across highways, bridges, and road upgrades, with expertise covering the complete project cycle from planning to delivery.

Strengthening Jharkhand’s Road Connectivity

The Giridih Bypass is expected to ease traffic congestion in the district and improve connectivity towards Tundi and adjoining areas. Once completed, it will offer smoother access to national and state highways, supporting regional trade and logistics movement in Jharkhand’s coal and industrial belt. The project adds momentum to the state’s ongoing focus on improving intra-district road infrastructure under the EPC model.
