Nine (9) Officers to be Promoted to IPS from Jharkhand

TSPC Claimed Responsibility for Shooting Incident in Churi

The banned TSPC organization, led by Rishikesh Ji, claimed responsibility for the shooting incident near the Churi project gate, Khalari on Monday. The group also took credit for previous firing incidents near Ashoka’s 5th number Katta. In a pamphlet, TSPC issued warnings to coal businessmen, contractors, and brick kiln operators against operating without their approval.

Illegal Coal Mines Bulldozed by JCB

In a joint operation by West Bokaro Police, Forest Department, and Jharkhand Excavation Security Department, six illegal coal mines operating in the Ghatotand, West Bokaro area were bulldozed. CCL’s bulldozer closed six illegal mining pits, with key officials like Deepak Singh, Sanjay Bedia, and others leading the action to curb illegal mining activities.

Worker’s Struggles to Be Addressed in Upcoming Meeting 

On 16th Feb, a crucial meeting will be organized in Ramgarh to discuss the issues faced by workers at Bihar Foundry and Casting Pvt Ltd. Led by Ramesh Kumar Mahato, the meeting will plan a protest addressing labor mistreatment, environmental harm, and unlawful actions by the factory management. The workers’ grievances include unfair wages and exploitation.

PNB Seized Yash Alloy Factory Amid Legal Disputes and Violence 

Punjab National Bank has auctioned Yash Alloy Factory in Ramgarh, but the process remains incomplete without official notifications or magistrate involvement. Despite this, an attempt to forcibly seize the factory began, causing unrest. The factory management has filed a police report and is awaiting court hearings to resolve the matter legally.

Rampant Coal Smuggling Due to Absent of Forest Officers

In Ramgarh, the rise in coal smuggling is attributed to the absence of forest officers in Mandu and Ramgarh. Illegal activities have increased due to the absence. The District Forest Officer (DFO) has requested the appointment of a new officer to oversee these areas, urging action to curb the growing smuggling issue.

PVUNL Empowered 30 Rural Youths with Skill Development Training

PVUNL provided skill development training to 30 rural youths from the Patratu region in AC and water pump repair at Tool Room Ranchi. The two-month program aimed to enhance employment opportunities. Tata Steel Foundation Launched 2nd Free Cataract Camp 

Tata Steel Foundation, in collaboration with Shankar Netralaya, inaugurated a free cataract camp at the Malkeera Community Center. The camp is being conducted in two phases: screening (10th to 13th Feb) and surgery (14th to 18th Feb). Over 770 people were screened, and 250 require surgery. Surgeries will be performed by Dr. Surjeev Sarkar and Dr. Ahana Sen.
