The Jharkhand Cabinet approved 27 proposals, including a 6% DA hike for employees, monsoon Assembly of session of Jharkhand Vidhasabha from 1st August to 7th August, Unified Pension Scheme, digital court reforms, vehicle purchases, medical reimbursements, and institutional rule changes.
The Jharkhand Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, approved 27 key proposals in the Cabinet Meeting, held on Friday 11th July 2025 at Project Bhawan, Ranchi. These decisions covered various sectors including Government employee benefits, judicial reforms, infrastructure, healthcare reimbursements, and administrative actions.
Monsoon Assembly Session from 1st August
The Cabinet has approved the schedule for the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The session will be held from 1st August to 7th August 2025, with five working days. There will be holidays on 2nd August and 3rd August.

Dearness Allowance Hiked by 6%: One of the major announcements includes a 6% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Government employees and pensioners.
For employees under the Fifth Pay Scale, DA has been increased from 246% to 252%, effective 1st January 2025.
Similarly, pensioners and family pensioners under the Sixth Central Pay Scale will also benefit from this hike.
Unified Pension Scheme for New Pension Scheme (NPS) Employees: The Cabinet also approved the implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme for those under the National Pension Scheme (NPS) who had not opted for the old pension scheme in 2022. Key benefits under this scheme include:
Rs. 10,000 monthly pension plus DA for 10 years of service.
50% of average salary (last 12 months) plus DA for 25 years of service.
Legal & Institutional Reforms: A major step towards digital justice was also taken, as the Cabinet approved a proposal to seek the Governor’s nod for the use of electronic communication and audio-video technology in Jharkhand’s district courts under the Electronic Means Rules, 2025. Additionally, the Government approved the formation of Institution Registration Rules, 2025, which aim to streamline and revise the registration and renewal process for societies and institutions across the state. The rules introduce revised registration fees based on the institution’s area of operation, starting from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000.
New Vehicles for Police: To boost law and order infrastructure, the Cabinet has sanctioned the purchase of 1,697 Mahindra Bolero vehicles at a cost of Rs. 126 crore and 1,255 motorcycles with a budget of around Rs. 30 crore over the next two years.
Post-Facto Approvals & Special Payments: Several post-facto approvals and reimbursements were also granted.
Rs. 44.83 lakh for the post-lung transplant medical treatment of late Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto at MGM Hospital, Chennai.
Rs. 5.75 lakh for air ambulance expenses for the transfer of a judge, Dinesh Kumar Mishra, from Ranchi to Delhi for urgent medical care.
Rs. 10.20 lakh reimbursement for retired police sub-inspector Shiv Kumar Prasad’s medical expenses.
Administrative Actions: The Cabinet approved several important service-related decisions.
Approval to maintain status quo on the salary withholding of former Namkum Circle Officer Kumudini Tudu.
Dismissal of medical officers Dr. Abhineeti Siddharth (Ranchi) and Dr. Sneha Singh (Jamtara).
Annulment of dismissal of Dr. Arvind Kumar Lal, former civil surgeon of Jamshedpur, following a Jharkhand High Court order.
Agriculture & Watershed Development: The Cabinet gave its go-ahead for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council for Agricultural Research and other institutions for a project involving the plantation of spineless cactus under the watershed development program. This initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Irrigation Scheme and aims to support farming in dry areas.
Liquor Shops to Be Run by Daily Wage Workers: Under the new excise policy, the state has allowed the operation of liquor shops by daily wage workers at government-approved rates until the new retail policy is fully implemented.
Special Relaxation in Scholarship Scheme: Special relaxation was granted in eligibility rules for Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship to help student Madhuri Khalkho continue her studies abroad under exceptional circumstances.
