Government to Introduce Eight New Bills in Parliament’s Monsoon Session
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, starting from 21st July, with 21 sittings planned. The Government aims to introduce eight new bills, including the Income Tax Bill 2025 and proposals on sports governance, anti-doping, and mining reforms. Extension of President’s Rule in Manipur is also expected.
Jharkhand Cabinet is Scheduled on 24th July
A cabinet meeting chaired by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren is scheduled for 24th July at the Project Bhavan in Ranchi. The Cabinet Secretariat has notified all concerned ministers and officials. The meeting will discuss key proposals related to the upcoming Assembly session, setting the legislative agenda ahead of the monsoon session.
Jharkhand Proposed Metro Rail Projects for Ranchi, Dhanbad & Jamshedpur

Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan to Take Oath on 23rd July
Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, currently serving in the Himachal Pradesh High Court, will take oath as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on 23rd July at Raj Bhavan. The appointment was confirmed via a July 14 notification by the Union Law Ministry. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar will administer the oath during the swearing-in ceremony.
NCL Lifts Ban, Rs. 100 Cr Work Order Expected to HEC
After parliamentary committee support and revival efforts, NCL has lifted its ban on Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), paving the way for a Rs. 100 crore work order. Improved production and renewed trust from companies like BHEL signal recovery. 12 IAS Officers Denied Training Leave to Avoid Disruption
Twelve IAS officers from Jharkhand will not attend a month-long training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, scheduled from 21st July to 16th August, as the State Government withheld permission. These mid-career officers, from 2012–2014 batches, were selected under the Centre’s Mid-Career Programme. The decision was made to prevent disruption in ongoing developmental work due to their simultaneous absence.

Member of Parliament from Singhbhum, Ms. Joba Majhi visited Guwa amid fears of displacement due to SAIL’s mine expansion. She assured villagers that no family would be evicted without proper rehabilitation. CBI Eye Illegal Coal Lifting at Amrapali Project
The CBI has widened its probe into illegal coal dealings at CCL, now focusing on unauthorized coal lifting from the Amrapali project in Tandwa, Chatra. Based on a Jharkhand Police report, trucks entering the site are charged illegal fees and issued fake tokens. Daily extortion involves 250–300 trucks, and the CBI is tracking the money trail behind this racket.
CID Investigating Fake Jobs at CCL, Seized Key Documents
CID has intensified its probe into 22 fake job appointments in CCL’s Ashoka project, allegedly secured in exchange for land. A four-member team seized crucial documents from CCL’s Piparwar and Tandwa offices, including land records and verification reports. Investigations revealed that many appointees didn’t receive compensation. CID has also requested details of their current postings for further scrutiny.
