The Ramgarh district administration Organized a high-level review meeting to accelerate ongoing road, infrastructure, and railway projects. Deputy Commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmad Mumtaz directed officials to expedite compensation for villagers via Gram Sabhas and resolve all pending land acquisition and related issues quickly for faster development.
The district administration in Ramgarh is taking proactive steps to boost the pace of development work, especially in the areas of road construction, infrastructure projects, land acquisition, and compensation for affected villagers. A high-level review meeting held today, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faiz Aq Ahmad Mumtaz, where a range of ongoing projects and their challenges were discussed in detail.
Focus on Timely Compensation and Project Speed
During the meeting, DC Mumtaz closely reviewed the status of key initiatives such as the Bharatmala Project, National Highway-33, and railway-related road construction projects. The Deputy Commissioner took stock of package-wise compensation disbursement and told officials to quickly complete all processes concerning payments. He specifically directed the concerned Circle Officers to organize Gram Sabhas (village meetings) and ensure all necessary administrative steps for paying compensation to the villagers are finished without any delay.

The DC stressed that all prolonged matters, whether related to the Forest Rights Act (FRA), No-Objection Certificates (NOCs), or land acquisition should be settled promptly. He sought updates from officials from the Road Construction Department, JUDCO, PVUNL, and other agencies. Making it clear that lingering issues should no longer stall development, he insisted that every pending file, especially those involving villages and land acquisition, must be resolved on priority.
Emphasis on Ground-Level Progress
DC Mumtaz inquired from each Circle Officer about the progress in their respective areas, particularly the status of land issues and other challenges hindering projects at the local level. He asked officers to quickly communicate any problems faced on the ground and promised to address them at the earliest, so that the region’s development remains uninterrupted.

The meeting saw the participation of many senior district officers and project managers, including Deputy Development Commissioner Ashish Agarwal, Additional Collector Kumari Geetanjali, Land Reforms Deputy Collector Kumari Priyanka Dipti Kujur, District Land Acquisition Officer, Nizarat Deputy Collector, and the general managers of various ongoing projects.
