The Adani Foundation on 28th August 2025 Started the fifth phase of its tuberculosis support programme by distributing nutrition kits to 80 patients at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Barkagaon. As part of this phase, the enrolled patients will continue to receive monthly nutrition kits for the next five months, aimed at strengthening their treatment process. CHC Barkagaon Medical Officer Dr. Anju Prabha, who addressed the gathering, called the initiative a meaningful intervention in the fight against TB. She urged patients to adopt healthy food habits and lifestyle practices alongside prescribed treatment. Dr. Prabha also handed over awareness pamphlets to patients to spread preventive knowledge within their communities.

120 Patient Enrolled at Barkagaon
According to data from the current financial year, 120 patients have been enrolled under the Foundation’s TB support programme in Barkagaon, of whom 40 have already recovered completely. Treatment and nutritional assistance continue for the remaining 80 patients. Health officials noted that nutritional support plays a crucial role in improving recovery outcomes among TB patients.

Beyond healthcare, the Adani Foundation is implementing multiple community initiatives in Barkagaon, ranging from education and women’s empowerment to farmer support and rural development. Distribution of seeds and fertilizers to farmers, coaching support for students, and training programmes for women have been among the recent activities, contributing to sustainable progress in the region.
