T V Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, has assumed charge as the President of the All India Management Association (AIMA). He succeeds Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, who completed her one-year term. Narendran will head the apex management body until September 2026.

In an official statement, AIMA said Narendran brings more than three decades of experience in the mining and metals industry, having spent over 36 years with the Tata Group. He has been associated with AIMA for several years and earlier served as its Vice President and Senior Vice President. Under his leadership, the association is expected to deepen its engagement with industry and strengthen management practices across sectors.

Vineet Agarwal Appointed Vice President
Alongside Narendran’s elevation, Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director of Transport Corporation of India (TCI), has been appointed AIMA Vice President for a one-year term. Agarwal, who has been associated with AIMA for more than a decade, was also the founding Chairman of AIMA’s Young Leaders Council. His leadership in building TCI into a leading logistics group adds strength to AIMA’s focus on emerging sectors.

Role of AIMA in Management Ecosystem
Founded in 1957, AIMA is the apex body of India’s management fraternity, with 68 city and regional management associations affiliated to it. It plays a critical role in developing managerial excellence, policy advocacy, and industry-academia collaboration. With Narendran at the helm, AIMA is expected to continue shaping India’s management ecosystem at a time of rapid economic transformation.
