R&D on 6G and 7G to Begin
A major highlight of the project is the collaborative research by C-DOT and Coal India on 6G and 7G technologies, aimed at placing Deoghar on the map of futuristic telecom research. BSNL is also opening its center at STPI Deoghar, which, along with the Dixon facility, will build a robust digital ecosystem to rival established hubs like Bengaluru and Pune.
Dixon Chairman Sunil Vachani said this is the company’s first Innovation Centre outside its plants, marking a new phase in Dixon’s approach to skill-building and innovation. “This center will not just train people but create jobs and manufacturing opportunities,” he said. STPI Director General Arvind Kumar added that a second building will soon be constructed to expand the facility’s reach. The initiative is expected to create a large number of direct and indirect jobs and provide a launchpad for Jharkhand’s youth to join India’s growing electronics manufacturing sector.
