Ministerial Team to Visit Saranda on Sept 30 for Wildlife Sanctuary Review
The Jharkhand Government formed a four-member ministerial panel to review the proposal to declare Saranda as a wildlife sanctuary, as directed by the Supreme Court. A group of Jharkhand ministers, led by Finance Minister Radha Krishan Kishore, will visit Saranda forest on 30th September to assess its proposed declaration as a wildlife sanctuary. The team will study environmental, socio-economic, and community impacts, gather departmental inputs, and submit recommendations to the State Government before presenting the final proposal to the cabinet.

Jharkhand Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal visited the state pavilion at World Food India 2025 in Delhi, highlighting Jharkhand’s mineral wealth, tribal culture, and 78,000 sq. km forest cover. The district administration had been awaiting the application, as the renewal process will commence only after its submission.
IRFC Sanctions Rs. 3388 Crore Loan to PVUNL for Banhardi Coal Block
Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) has approved a Rs. 3388.51 crore long-term loan to PVUNL for developing the Banhardi captive coal block in Latehar, Jharkhand, with 956 MT reserves. The funding secures fuel for PVUNL’s 4,000 MW Patratu power project. The loan agreement was signed by IRFC CGM Shwet Ketu Mishra and PVUNL CEO Ashok Kumar Sehgal.
Fire at Bokaro Steel Plant Injures Four Workers
