Repeated Incidents Raise Safety Concerns
This is the third incident at the plant in four months and the second within SMS-2 in as many days. Just 48 hours earlier, a heavy ladle had fallen in the same unit, though no injuries were reported then. The recurring mishaps have sparked serious concerns about compliance with industrial safety protocols and preventive maintenance standards inside the plant. Bokaro MLA Shweta Singh and Dhanbad MP Dhulu Mahto also visited the injured workers’ families, calling for immediate safety upgrades at the facility.
