Strict Compliance and Financial Accountability
The Home Department’s directive mandates that fund utilization must be verified through the Accountant General (AG) office. Only after the verification will expenditure reports be submitted to the department’s budget division. The order also prohibits diversion of funds for any non-related purposes and requires districts to return any unspent amount to the State treasury before the end of the financial year. By linking utilization with audit compliance, the Government aims to ensure financial transparency and effective deployment of resources to improve on-ground policing and administrative efficiency in Jharkhand’s key districts.
