The Jharkhand Industries Department has introduced a Green Audit Scheme for eligible units operating in the Adityapur Auto Cluster. The initiative will help industrial units assess their efficiency in energy, water, and raw material use while ensuring adherence to environmental norms. The scheme also offers Government subsidy to reduce the financial burden of the audit process.

Audit to Promote Resource Efficiency and Compliance
Under the programme, the audit will examine how industries manage energy consumption, water usage, material utilization, and waste disposal. Recommendations will be provided to align their operations with environmental standards and improve resource optimization. As per official guidelines, only MSME units registered under the Udyam portal and holding all statutory approvals will be eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.

Speaking at the launch event, attended by JIADA Regional Director Prem Ranjan, Deputy Director Dinesh Ranjan, and Auto Cluster MD S.N. Thakur, officials termed the initiative a vital step toward “Green Transformation” of Jharkhand’s industrial sector. Industry leaders, including members of Laghu Udyog Bharati and the Auto Component Manufacturers Association, welcomed the move, calling it a timely intervention to enhance competitiveness while ensuring environmental responsibility.
