Renowned industrialist Ramchandra Rungta, a stalwart of Jharkhand’s industrial landscape, passed away in Delhi, after a prolonged battle with throat cancer. His death has cast a pall of grief over the business communities of Ranchi, Ramgarh, and across Jharkhand.

Rungta began his entrepreneurial journey in the coal trade, eventually establishing multiple industrial units in Ramgarh district, including Jharkhand Ispat (Ramgarh), Alok Steel (Karma), and Maa Chhinnamastika Ispat (Hehal-Barkakana). He also founded the RC Rungta Group, which went on to become a key player in Jharkhand’s steel and industrial sector.

Widely respected for his vision, Rungta was instrumental in promoting local industry, generating employment, and strengthening Jharkhand’s steel production ecosystem. His demise marks the end of an era, leaving behind a lasting legacy of industrial growth and entrepreneurship in the state.
