Around 40% of the ₹48 crore project is finished, with completion targeted by 2026-end. The four-storey WTC will house export-import offices and international trade facilities under one roof.
HEC Far Behind Production Target in Current Fiscal Year
Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) has achieved only Rs. 72.75 crore production between April and September 2025, nearly half its target. Officials cite financial crisis, manpower shortage, staff agitation, and outdated machinery as key reasons. Pig Iron Theft Uncovered at Saluja Steel & Power, Three Arrested
Police in Giridih have exposed a pig iron theft racket at Saluja Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd. Three employees, including a loader operator, a helper, and a security guard, were arrested for stealing pig iron from the company premises. The theft was carried out with insider involvement, and all accused have been sent to jail following the investigation.
Fake Documents Exposed in Rs. 3.84 Crore REO Road Project Scam in Chaibasa
Anti Corruption of India’s Jharkhand president Ramhari Periyar has accused Chaibasa REO officials and contractor Muskan Enterprises of using fake documents to grab a Rs. 3.84 crore road project. Though the tender was later cancelled, Rs. 70–80 lakh was allegedly misused. He demanded a physical quality check, accountability of engineers, and an impartial probe into the corruption nexus.
Businessman in Ranchi Received Rs. 5 Crore Extortion Threat from Rahul Singh Gang
Ranchi businessman Umashankar Singh has lodged an FIR alleging that the Rahul Singh gang demanded Rs. 5 crore extortion from him via phone and WhatsApp messages. The calls came from an international number, which he did not answer. Later, threatening messages were also sent to his son Suraj. The terrified family has confined themselves indoors.
JMM to Contest Six Seats in Bihar, Yet to Announce Candidates on Nomination Day
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has announced it will contest six Bihar Assembly seats — Chakai, Dhamdaha, Jamui, Katoria, Manihari, and Pirpainti — but is yet to name its candidates even as nominations close today.
