The Adani Group has floated a new subsidiary Sultanganj Sabour Road Limited (SSRL) with a specific mandate to construct the 42 Kilometers Ganga Path project connecting Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, and Sabour in Bihar. The project, estimated at Rs. 4450.17 crores, will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework.

Dedicated Arm for Bihar Infrastructure Development
According to Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), the creation of SSRL marks a strategic move to streamline its operations and strengthen its position in India’s infrastructure expansion. The Ganga Path, featuring a 30.12 KMs stretch of road and an 11.88 KMs elevated corridor, will enhance connectivity across key regions along the Ganga belt. Once completed, it is expected to significantly ease traffic flow and boost trade and transport in eastern Bihar.

Adani Emerged as Lowest Bidder
AEL emerged as the L1 bidder for the project with a proposal of Rs. 5338 crores, approximately 19.95% above the estimated cost. Competing firms included Vishwa Samudra Engineering Pvt Ltd, Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt Ltd, and Ashoka Buildcon Ltd, while HG Infra Engineering and Dilip Buildcon were disqualified. The hybrid annuity approach will allow shared risk and investment between the Government and the private developer, ensuring long-term project sustainability.

Compliance and Broader Infrastructure Vision
The group has complied with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015, by publicly announcing the incorporation of SSRL. This step aligns with Adani’s ongoing infrastructure growth strategy, which includes successful ventures in ports, railways, and renewable energy. Adani currently operates India’s longest private railway line, spanning nearly 300 KMs linking industrial zones and ports, reinforcing its growing role in India’s logistics and transport ecosystem.
