The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced a nationwide contest inviting Indian citizens to design the official logo for the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). The competition seeks to tap into India’s creative talent to craft a logo that reflects the country’s vision of becoming a global hub for green hydrogen production, usage, and export. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, along with a certificate of recognition from the Mission Director.

Logo to Symbolise India’s Clean Energy Vision
The logo design should capture the essence of India’s commitment to clean energy, self-reliance, and sustainability, representing the multi-sector potential of green hydrogen across industries such as steel, transport, shipping, petrochemicals, and fertilizers. The entries will be judged by an internal committee of MNRE based on creativity, originality, visual impact, and alignment with the mission’s objectives. Additionally, ten runners-up will each receive Rs. 5000 as a token of appreciation. Participants can submit their entries online via the MyGov portal in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format, with specific technical requirements for size and resolution.

Encouraging Public Participation in a National Energy Transition
The National Green Hydrogen Mission is a cornerstone of India’s renewable energy roadmap, aiming to reduce fossil fuel dependence and promote a low-carbon economy. Through this contest, MNRE seeks to encourage public participation and awareness around the country’s transition towards clean energy technologies. The initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, combining innovation, sustainability, and citizen engagement in shaping the future of the energy sector. The last date for submitting entries is 5th November 2025.
