ACB Questions IAS Officer Manoj Kumar in Rs. 38 Crore Liquor Scam Case
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) interrogated IAS officer and former Excise Secretary Manoj Kumar on Wednesday over the Rs. 38 crore liquor scam in Jharkhand. Kumar was questioned for several hours regarding fake bank certificates submitted by manpower firms in liquor sales. Earlier, IAS officers Vinay Choubey and Amit Prakash were also arrested in the same case.
No Relief for Forest Land Scam Accused Vinay Singh’s Wife
The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday refused interim relief to Snigdha Singh, wife of accused Vinay Kumar Singh in the Hazaribagh forest land scam. Hearing her plea to quash the FIR, Justice S.K. Dwivedi directed the ACB to file a sworn reply by November 19. The next hearing is scheduled for 24th November.
NTPC Firing Case Solved, Four Gang Members Arrested with Arms and Ammunition
Police from Tandwa and Piparwar have cracked the NTPC firing case, arresting four members of the Rahul Singh gang, Asraf Raza, Shahjahan Ansari, Mahfuz Alam alias Lalu, and Gulzar Ansari alias Raju. Two pistols, 10 live cartridges, mobile phones, and gang pamphlets were seized. The accused confessed to the August and September 2025 shootings on the NTPC Tandwa Highway.
