Safety Standards Under Fresh Question
The latest incident has renewed concerns over workplace safety at BSL, where a series of accidents have occurred in recent months. In September, three contract workers lost their lives in an accident inside the Steel Melting Shop, and similar mishaps have been reported in the Blast Furnace section earlier this year. Labour unions have demanded stricter safety measures and better supervision of contractual labour operations, alleging that repeated negligence in high-risk zones continues to endanger workers lives.
