The Jharkhand Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, approved 13 proposals on Monday, covering infrastructure development, welfare schemes, administrative reforms and policy decisions across multiple departments.

Rs. 236 Cr Irrigation Project Gets Approval
The Government granted administrative approval of Rs. 236.20 crore for the Cambo Mega Lift Irrigation Scheme, which aims to provide irrigation through underground pipelines in parts of Mandar and Chanho blocks of Ranchi district. The Cabinet also approved Rs. 7.84 crore from the Jharkhand Contingency Fund to conduct the by-election in the 45-Ghatshila (ST) Assembly constituency.

Road Projects and Sports Recognition Announced
Two major road works in Dumka district, worth Rs. 44.93 crore and Rs. 35.81 crore respectively were cleared to shift the projects from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department. In a recognition move, the Cabinet approved stamp duty and registration fee exemption on residential land allotted to Indian hockey players Salima Tete and Nikki Pradhan.
Other Key Administrative Decisions
The meeting approved the formation of Jharkhand State Allied and Healthcare Council Rules, 2025, and the Jharkhand State Multipurpose Worker Cadre Rules, 2025. The Cabinet also granted a six-month extension for the ongoing Bell-429 helicopter service used for official VIP/VVIP movement. In addition, the Government permitted upgraded pay scale benefits for petitioners in the Binod Lakra case, and formally closed the monsoon session of the Sixth Jharkhand Assembly.

Administrative approval of Rs. 236,20,81,000 for the “Cambo Mega Lift Irrigation Scheme” to provide irrigation facilities through an underground pipeline in selected areas of Mandar and Chanho blocks of Ranchi district.
Approval to withdraw an advance amount of Rs. 7,84,00,000 from the Jharkhand Contingency Fund for conducting the by-election in the 45-Ghatsila (Scheduled Tribe Reserved) Assembly Constituency.
Approval for exemption of stamp duty and registration fee for the land allotted free of cost by Jharkhand Housing Board to international hockey players Ms. Salima Tete and Ms. Nikki Pradhan.
Approval of the decision on the appeal petition of Dr. Ranjit Prasad, former Superintendent, Itki Arogyashala, and former Director, STDCC.
Administrative approval of Rs. 44,93,31,800 for widening, strengthening, and reconstruction (including land acquisition, utility shifting and RGR) of the 8.130 km Bermasia PWD Road to Shehraghati Road in Dumka district by transferring it from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department.
Approval for the formation of the Jharkhand State Allied and Healthcare Council Rules, 2025.
Approval to extend the existing service period of the 2+5 Seater Twin Engine Bell-429 helicopter by another 6 months (on the same rates and terms) for government flying purposes of VIPs/VVIPs.
Administrative approval of Rs. 35,81,42,200 for widening, strengthening, reconstruction, and related works (including bridge work, land acquisition, RGR, utility shifting, and plantation) of the 7.775 km road from Karmatand (PWD Road) to Bhogtandih (PWD Road) in Dumka district, after transferring it from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department.
Approval to increase the financial assistance under Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Housing Scheme from Rs. 1.30 lakh (IAP) / Rs. 1.20 lakh (Non-IAP) to Rs. 2.00 lakh, along with an increase in the target for the financial year 2025-26.
Approval to grant pay scale benefits of Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (instead of Rs. 1900) to the petitioners of W.P. (S) No. 6611/2018 – Binod Lakra & Others vs. State of Jharkhand & Others, who were promoted from Grain Gola Chowkidar to Block Welfare Supervisor under the order/notification No. 2667 dated 10.11.2012 of the Department of SC/ST, Minority & Backward Class Welfare.
Approval for prorogation (sine die adjournment) of the third (Monsoon) session of the Sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, held from 01.08.2025 to 04.08.2025 and 22.08.2025 to 28.08.2025.
Approval for the formation of the Jharkhand State Multi-tasking Staff (Recruitment & Service Conditions) Rules, 2025.
Approval for revision of pension/family pension of Government teachers who retired or died before 01.01.2016 from Government Engineering Colleges, Government Polytechnics, and Government Women’s Polytechnics under the Higher & Technical Education Department.
