Jharkhand is set to sign MoUs worth more than Rs. 26,000 crore with more than 10 companies in the coming month, with an aim to generate employment for over 15,000+ people. The investments will cover sectors like steel, cement, and power, with the state preparing for a major signing event soon.

Jharkhand is set to witness a major wave of industrial investment, with more than Rs. 26,000 crore worth of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) expected to be signed next month. These investment proposals, received during the recent Kolkata Summit, have now been approved by the State Government for MoU execution. The MoUs will be signed with more than 10 companies across sectors like steel, cement, power, and even leather products, paving the way for large-scale industrial development in the state. Once signed, the projects are expected to generate direct employment for approximately 12,000 individuals, while another 9500 will benefit through indirect job opportunities.
MoU Signing in August Likely
According to official sources, the Department of Industries has already submitted the proposals to the Chief Secretary for final scheduling. A mega event is being planned for the MoU signing in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who is currently in Delhi. The date for the event will be finalized soon after his return. A senior official stated, “The Single Window Clearance Committee has already given approval to these proposals. The CM has directed all departments to fast-track preparations. This is going to be one of the biggest investment tie-ups in the recent years for Jharkhand.”
