Sanjay Lathkar (JH-1995) has been appointed to central deputation. The Union Cabinet’s Appointment Committee approved his transfer to the Department of Atomic Energy as IG (Security) at the ADG level. His appointment will continue until his retirement.
In Jharkhand, 54 companies have proposed installing 800 MW of solar power plants. With an estimated investment of Rs. 3200 Crores, the plants could create over 3000 jobs. Companies have submitted plans for capacities ranging from 1 MW to 250 MW. The proposals will be sent to JBVNL for approval, leading to further development.
Hywa vehicle owners working at NTPC Pakri Barwadih Coal Mine have submitted a memorandum to the project head, urged the continuation of coal transport using their existing Hywa vehicles. The Hazaribagh Hywa Owners Association highlighted that they have been successfully transporting coal for 8 years and invested in vehicles for employment after the land acquisition by the company.

The management of Adani ACC Cement Factory in Sindri has dismissed two permanent employees, Ajay Pandey and Mukesh Pandey, for engaging in cement transportation business using trucks registered under their names. A legal inquiry on 5th February revealed their involvement, and despite requesting two months to transfer ownership of the trucks, both were terminated for violating company policy.
In a surprising move, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has granted pre-mature retirement to 11 senior officers from its Coal Division, SAIL, and BSL over various allegations. The decision was made during a board meeting and includes officers above the GM level. They were given three months’ notice, but their retirement benefits remain unaffected.

This disruption, due to STCP’s demand for overdue payments, led to no coal dispatch from the siding. CCL and Indian Railways face an estimated loss of Rs. 1.5 crore and Rs. 3 Crores, respectively.
