A furnace coil burst at Radha Gopal Steel Factory, leaving three workers injured. The incident was accompanied by three loud blast-like noises, creating chaos inside the factory premises. The injured workers Dheeraj Mahto of Sitamarhi (Bihar), Surendra Chaudhary of Rampur, and crane operator Harendra Yadav of Rohtas were rushed to a private hospital for treatment.

Barhi police station in-charge Vinod Kumar reached the site soon after the incident and inspected the spot. He confirmed that the injuries were caused while workers were trying to escape after the sudden leak. No fatalities were reported.

Factory Operator Called It Routine
Factory operator Vikas Chhabra said that the furnace leak a routine occurrence and said there was no major damage to life or property. “Three workers suffered minor injuries and are being provided proper treatment,” he said. Notably, a similar furnace leak was reported at the plant on 19th July, but no one was injured at that time.

Safety Concerns Raised Again
With this being the second incident in three months, workers have once again raised concerns over the safety mechanisms at the plant. Local residents have urged authorities to conduct a thorough inspection to prevent a major mishap in the future.
