Major Railway Infrastructure Upgrades Underway
Sanjay Seth informed that a significant portion of the approved fund is being used to modernise railway facilities and improve connectivity. As part of this, 32 underpasses, over-bridges, and subways are being constructed at a cost of Rs. 732 crore. Out of these, 16 structures have already been completed, bringing much-needed relief to commuters and easing traffic congestion. Further, he mentioned that goods sheds at Namkum, Tatisilwai, and Chandil railway stations are being upgraded with an investment of Rs. 54 crore. These upgraded facilities are expected to boost the movement of freight trains and generate local employment opportunities, benefiting small businesses and transporters in the region. Another key highlight is the doubling of the Koderma–Ranchi railway track, which has been completed at a cost of Rs. 234 crore, improving rail traffic efficiency and reducing travel time for passengers and goods trains alike.

Allegations Against State Government
While speaking about these developments, Sanjay Seth took a strong stance against the Jharkhand State Government, accused it of not releasing funds for several local development projects that he had proposed. These include works related to rural roads, public sanitation, municipal services, and engineering infrastructure. He said that despite laying foundation stones and making public commitments, many projects are stalled due to lack of cooperation from the state departments. “People are asking me questions about the projects for which I had laid foundation stones. But the delay is not from my side. It is the state government that is not giving approvals or releasing funds,” he claimed.
