Jharkhand-cadre IPS officer Kuldeep Dwivedi (2005 batch) has been elevated as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Dwivedi, who was serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the agency, will continue in the new role till 17th January 2026, or until completion of his five-year deputation, whichever is earlier.
Another IPS Officer Promoted
Alongside Dwivedi, C. Venkata Subba Reddy of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre (2007 batch) has also been appointed Joint Director in CBI. His tenure will be till 29th October 2029. Both appointments were issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) after approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
