MECON Limited and the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) jointly organised the “New Gen Power, Electrical and Automation Solutions for Metal and Mining Industry – Vendor Empowerment Conclave” at MECON Community Hall in Ranchi on 05th September 2025. The one-day event brought together experts, MSMEs, start-ups, policymakers, and academicians to deliberate on the role of vendors and technology in driving India’s industrial growth under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.

MECON CMD Sanjay Kumar Verma said industries must recognise that strong collaboration with vendors is key to achieving the goals of self-reliant and developed India. Project Director P.K. Dixit also urged vendors to focus on quality work in partnership with industries, while J.K. Jha, Director (Commercial), led the inauguration along with senior officials from CIDC and Jharkhand Technical University.

Focused on Technology, Localisation, and Green Growth
Technical sessions covered themes such as indigenous industry and digital transformation, skill development, green technologies in electrical and automation, vendor development, and the roadmap for Atamnirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047. Experts called for building self-reliant supply chains, encouraging local innovation, and adopting sustainable technologies to align India’s industrial growth with global standards.
Industry Leaders Participated in Panel Discussion
Companies including Advance Power Control Ltd, Infinite Uptime India Pvt Ltd, Joest Engineering, Nidec Industrial Automation India, Hitachi High-Rail Power Electronics, V-Mark India, Lifeline Electronics, and Adarsh Control & Automation actively participated. Vendors, technologists, and start-ups engaged in question–answer sessions and panel discussions, sharing insights into emerging opportunities in the fast-evolving metal and mining industry. The conclave concluded with a call for capacity building for MSMEs and creating a collaborative industrial ecosystem to strengthen India’s global competitiveness.
