The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the elevation of senior IPS officers Manoj Shashidhar (Gujarat Cadre) and Sampat Meena (Jharkhand Cadre) as Special Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The decision, notified through an order of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), strengthens the senior leadership of the country’s premier investigating agency.

Two 1994-Batch IPS Officers Elevated
Manoj Shashidhar, a Gujarat-cadre officer of the 1994 batch, is currently serving as Additional Director in the CBI. He has now been appointed Special Director and will hold the post until his superannuation on 30th November 2030. Sampat Meena, from the Jharkhand cadre of the same batch, has also been promoted from Additional Director to Special Director. She will serve until 31st March 2031. Both officers bring long experience in investigation and law enforcement to the senior-most ranks of the agency.
