Jharkhand’s to become an industrial hub has gained momentum, with the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) allotting 9,748.56 acres of land to 952 companies across the state. According to official data, the state still has 1,695.58 acres available for fresh industrial projects, opening up opportunities for investors seeking to set up units in the region.

Application Status and Regional Breakdown
Out of 3,518 applications received by JIADA for industrial land, 1,284 applications have been rejected, while 1,282 are under process. Region-wise data shows Ranchi received the highest number of applications (1,372), with 259 allottees getting possession and 504 applications rejected. Adityapur, Jharkhand’s largest industrial zone, has seen 895 applications, with 253 successful allotments and 374 rejections, while Bokaro region has just 6 acres of land left for allocation after allotting 1,634 acres across 660 units.

Adityapur Remains Growth Engine
Adityapur continues to dominate Jharkhand’s industrial landscape with 74 industrial areas, where 4,763.86 acres have already been allotted, and 1,179 acres remain vacant, the highest land bank among all regions. It houses 1,533 operating units, making it a key driver of employment and manufacturing activity in the State.

Government’s Push for Industrial Expansion
The State Government and JIADA are actively working to speed up land allotment processes to attract new investments. The availability of vacant plots is expected to encourage more investors, strengthen Jharkhand’s economy, and create additional job opportunities. Authorities also indicated that rejected applications largely pertain to non-compliance with eligibility norms or incomplete documentation.
