IPS Rishabh Trivedi Posted as ASP in ACB
The Jharkhand Home, Jail & Disaster Management Department has posted 2022-batch IPS officer Rishabh Trivedi as ASP in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The notification was issued late Friday night. Trivedi, who was awaiting posting, will now take charge in the state’s premier anti-graft agency, marking a key step in strengthening anti-corruption efforts.
NTPC Hands Over Rs. 3248 Crore Final Dividend to Power Ministry
NTPC Limited has paid a final dividend of Rs. 3248 crore to the Government for FY 2024-25. Including two interim dividends of Rs. 2424 crore each (paid in November 2024 and February 2025), the total dividend payout stands at Rs, 8096 crore, i.e Rs. 8.35 per share. This marks the 32nd consecutive year NTPC has paid dividends.

Jharkhand Govt Releases Rs. 16 Cr Incentive for 60,000 Milk Producers
On Navratri, Jharkhand announced a Rs. 16 crore incentive for 60,000 milk producers linked with Jharkhand Milk Federation. Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey said pending payments from April–August 2025 have been cleared. Producers receive Rs. 5 per litre as incentive, credited directly to their bank accounts. Daily milk collection now stands at 2.53 lakh litres.
Jharkhand to Launch ‘Johar Influencer’ Programme to Boost Tourism
Jharkhand Tourism Directorate will launch the “Johar Influencer” programme to promote the state’s natural beauty, heritage, and tribal culture globally. Fifty social media influencers will be engaged to create content on eco-trails, tribal tourism, festivals, and cuisine. Influencers will receive annual honorariums up to Rs. 10 lakh, special recognition, and access to exclusive cultural events.

Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar announced that Jharkhand is moving towards industrial tourism after launching mining tourism. Talks are underway with companies to allow visitors to witness mining, steelmaking, coal production, and power generation processes. He called tourism a driver of cultural integration and economic growth, aligning with this year’s World Tourism Day theme of sustainable tourism.
Jharkhand Chamber Raises Alarm Over Pandara Mandi’s Poor Condition
The Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce inspected Pandara Mandi and found encroachments, waterlogging, no security, and non-functional lights and pumps, leaving traders in unsafe, unhygienic conditions. Despite repeated complaints, no action has been taken. Chamber President Aditya Malhotra assured traders of urgent intervention and will present the issue to the Agriculture Minister, seeking immediate redressal and a site visit.
Jharkhand HC Orders Probe into Road Built Without Compensation
Jharkhand High Court has directed Ranchi Deputy Commissioner to inspect allegations that NHAI built a road on tribal land without paying compensation. The court asked for a one-month probe and report, instructing the DC to personally visit the site, resolve grievances, and ensure rightful compensation if land was used, terming it a constitutional obligation.
ACB Raids Six Premises Linked to Vinay Singh in Hazaribagh Land Scam
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday raided six locations linked to Vinay Singh, owner of Nexgen Automobiles and close aide of jailed IAS officer Vinay Choubey. Raids were conducted at his residence, showroom, and other premises in connection with illegal forest land registration in Hazaribagh. Singh was arrested three days ago in the same case.
NIA Files Supplementary Chargesheet Against Two Maoists in Levy Extortion Case
The NIA filed a second supplementary chargesheet against Maoists Jaipal Devgam and Budru Padam for extorting levies from contractors and traders to fund violent activities. The case stems from a March 2024 recovery of Rs. 10.5 lakh cash, arms, and Maoist materials in West Singhbhum. Investigations reveal the funds were meant to expand the Maoist network and target security forces.
VP of Indu Outsourcing Company, Gopal Reddy Shot, Injured in Dhanbad
In Dhanbad’s Munidih area, an unidentified bike-borne assailant opened fire on Indu Outsourcing Company’s Vice President Gopal Reddy near Kali Mandir. One bullet hit his thigh, injuring him. He was rushed to Asarfi Hospital for treatment. Police have begun scanning CCTV footage from nearby shops and launched a manhunt to nab the attacker.
Youth Dies in Illegal Mining Collapse in Dhanbad
A youth was killed and another injured after a roof collapse during illegal coal mining in ECL’s Chapapur project area, Nirsa, Dhanbad, on Saturday. While ECL management and police denied the incident, locals confirmed several people were mining when the collapse occurred. Clothes and slippers found at the site corroborate the villagers’ claims of the tragedy.
Six Held for Firing on KEC Workers in Latehar
Latehar police arrested six criminals on Saturday for assaulting and firing at workers of KEC Limited engaged in power transmission work. Arms, cartridges, looted mobiles, and ₹28,500 levy cash were seized. The accused, with past criminal records including NDPS, arms, and loot cases, confessed to the August 2 attack on labourers, police confirmed.
Villagers Lock Mining Office, Demand Road Construction in Gumla
Angry villagers in Serengdag mines area of Gumla locked the mining office and staged a sit-in protest, halting mining and transport operations. Hundreds of trucks were stranded. Locals allege no road has been built in 51 years despite continuous bauxite mining. They vowed to continue the agitation until proper roads and basic amenities are provided.
Three Members of Aman Sahu Gang Arrested in Chatra’s Basaria
Tandwa police arrested three members of the Aman Sahu gang near Raham Mor on the Magadh Sanghamitra bypass road in Basaria. The accused Gautam Kumar, Purushottam Kumar, and Abhishek Anand were found with a bike, pistol, cartridge, and mobile phone. Abhishek was involved in the Fly Ash firing case. All have been sent to jail.
