A three-day exposure visit organised by Terri Mining under the Jipur Mining Project concluded on Sunday, offering rural women participants a firsthand look at Jharkhand’s prominent skill development and agricultural training institutions. The visit, held from 16th to 19th October 2025, aimed to promote practical learning and motivate women towards self-reliance through vocational awareness.

Visits Covered Key Training Institutions
As part of the itinerary, participants toured Kalyan Gurukul, Skill College, Patratu Dam, and the livestock unit of Birsa Agricultural University in Kanke. The programme included training sessions, institutional interactions, and field visits designed to familiarise participants with current models of skill-based employment. The visit was coordinated by Terri Mining’s Sadanand Singh and Santosh Kumar, supported by team members Sarabjit Kaur, Sushma Soren, Raju, and Jitendra.

Women Called It a Transformative Experience
Women from the Jitpur mining project area expressed that this was their first opportunity to experience such an exposure tour. They said the visit helped them understand how young women are being trained for employment in reputed companies. Many participants shared plans to motivate other women in their villages to benefit from similar initiatives. The successful completion of the visit reflected Terri Mining’s ongoing efforts to enhance livelihood skills and empower rural women through community oriented programmes.
