The Jharkhand Government on Thursday accepted the voluntary retirement application of Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta, and appointed senior IPS officer of 1994 batch Tadasha Mishra as Acting Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General (HoPF) of Jharkhand. Mishra, who was posted as Special Secretary in the Home, Prison & Disaster Management Department, will continue in the same pay scale and hold the post until further instructions.

A notification issued by the State Home Department confirmed that Anurag Gupta, a 1990 batch IPS officer, was granted voluntary retirement and will receive all admissible post service benefits.
