A major fire broke out at Arihant Enterprises, a chemical factory in Koylari Irba, Ormanjhi, on Friday morning. The fire started around 11:30 AM, reportedly due to a short circuit while an electrician was repairing faulty wiring. Flames spread rapidly, and thick smoke covered the area, forcing workers and nearby residents to rush out. Fire brigade teams with six fire tenders reached the spot and started efforts to control the blaze.

Despite continuous efforts for nearly three hours, the fire proved difficult to control. Officials said that the material stored inside the factory were destroyed in the blaze

Major Tragedy Averted
Naushad Garage, Bharat Gas godown, Irba power sub-station, and a nearby iron warehouse were saved from being gutted due to the swift response of the fire brigade team. Locals credited the timely arrival of fire tenders for preventing a much bigger disaster.
Police and fire department officials have started an investigation into the exact cause of the fire. Preliminary reports point to a short circuit, but officials are expected to submit a detailed report soon. The administration is assessing the extent of losses and ensuring that safety protocols are enforced to avoid such incidents in future.
