Suspended IAS officer and former Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan was released on bail on Monday, two and a half years after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on 4th May 2023, in a land scam involving 4.55 acres of army occupied land in Bariatu. Following the Supreme Court’s order, Ranjan furnished two sureties of Rs. 1 lakh each before his release from RIMS.
ACB to Question Wife of Accused Vinay Singh in Hazaribag Land Scam
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) will interrogate Snigdha Singh, wife of arrested automobile businessman Vinay Singh, in connection with the Hazaribag land scam. She has been named co-accused as the disputed land is registered jointly in her and her husband’s name. Vinay Singh, a close aide of IAS officer Vinay Chaubey, also an accused, who is currently lodged in Hazaribag jail.
